Il tema del recupero e riqualificazione di Villa Gennaioli per la sede della Banca di Anghiari e Stia stimola una riflessione sul rapporto, culturale, visivo e funzionale, con il centro storico. Dal centro città , un percorso pedonale risale il pendio e conduce al nuovo edificio che si inserisce in modo discreto tra quelli esistenti, dei quali il progetto prevede di lasciare completamente invariati i prospetti esterni, razionalizzando spazi, percorsi e funzioni all’interno. Il nuovo edificio è in parte ipogeo, con il tetto verde che recupera e valorizza l’ampio e singolare prato presente.
The theme of the recovery and rehabilitation of Villa Gennaioli for the headquarter of the Bank of Anghiari-Stia, stimulates a reflection on the cultural, visual and functional relationship with the city center. A pedestrian path from the city goes up to the slope and leads to the new building that fits discreetly between the existing ones, which exterior elevations are completely unchanged, while spaces, pathways and functions within are re-organized. The new building as an underground part, and a green roof that retrieves and highlights the wide and unusual present lawn.
